The Chicago Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

About last years edition

The Chicago Ultimate Frisbee Facebook group alongside the environmental non-profit sustainable landscaping initiative Midwest Grows Green invites you to this recreational ultimate tournament from June 11-12, 2022. Here are the details: -We reserved four fields at the Ned Brown Meadow in Busse Woods, Rolling Meadows. -Games start 9 am and run until 5 pm each day. -Early-bird prices ($35) end April 30, 2022. Regular fee is $45. Registration guarantees six games, water and snacks. Competitive league -Competitive league will have 8 teams, 10 people minimum to team, Hat Tournament. -7 v 7, Coed -World cup format, 3 games each day, Group stage on June 11, knock-out tournament on June 12. -Games to 15, hard-cap at one hour and 15 minutes. -We will only allow opposite gender baggage this year. Social league -Minimum 4 teams. Max 8. -5 v 5, Coed -Max 10 players per team. -Can either sign-up as a team or a free agent. -To sign-up as a team, pay the Captain registration fee ($350 early bird fee, $450 regular) -Captains must provide Ryan Anderson (randerson@ipminstitute.org) with a roster two weeks before. Individuals on social teams that want lunch or goodie bags, must directly contact Ryan Anderson as well. -Spirit is highly encouraged (e.g. themed uniforms, spirit points, cheers, etc.) -Players will be asked to bring both a white and black shirt for teams. NO GREYS! -Lunch will be provided both days to those that pay an extra $30 fee. -Fruitful Yield Schaumburg will provide players with organic apples and bananas. -You can purchase a goodie bag for $10 that will include an Aria Disc and other sponsor items. -Plan is for this to be a zero-waste event. -All proceeds go to Midwest Grows Green that helps parks across the Chicago area and the Midwest eliminate synthetic pesticide and fertilizer use. -Planning for a TBA after-party in Chicago on June 11. -Any questions can be directed towards Ryan Anderson from Midwest Grows Green at randerson@ipminstitute.org. -Other sponsors include Meet Chicago Northwest.
